Dr. Stone was selected for this prestigious scholarship after presenting her research at the 2021 APS New Trends in Sex and Gender Medicine meeting! Dr. Stone presented her work from Dr. Nina Stachenfeld’s Laboratory that examines blood pressure regulation in women with Androgen-Excess Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and the negative impact of testosterone. She said upon hearing the news, “I’m honored to receive this scholarship as a woman in physiology research, and to be part of an organization like APS that seeks to fund scientists from underrepresented backgrounds.” Yet another commendation for one of our amazing scientists.
